Broken type - Steelpate Textur

"How do you look at broken type?" This is a student project where we had to figure out a way how to promote broken typography. My intention is to change the perspective of the prestressed broken type (mainly because of the usage during the nazi regime) to a better image. I want the people to look at it differently, to pay more attention to the great details of the letters and to encourage them to start using it. For that reason I developed a simple 3D poster where the letter S changes to a "Steelplate Textur" S as you pass by- so your perspective is litteraly changing in front of your eyes.

This is a student project where we had to figure out a way how to promote broken typography. My intention is to fix the broken image of the FRAKTUR (mainly because of the usage during the Nazi regime) I want the people to look at it differently, to pay more attention to the great details of the letter and to encourage them to start using it. For that reason I developed a poster where the FRAKTUR letter F is literally broken (med. "fracture") in two half's and is being fixed by 2 medical bandage clips. "BROKEN TYPEFACE IS FULL OF PREJUDICE REFERING TO THE NAZI REGIME, BEGIN THINKING ABOUT THE UNIQUE CHARACTER OF BROKEN TYPE WITH ITS GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL."
